It’s a good day for YA! Today, I’m watching four Young Adult (and one New Adult) titles that are hitting shelves. Judging from the amount of contemporary romance, it seems we’ve officially in publishing’s summer season. Here are the May 14 new releases I’m watching:

Book cover: Don't Date Rosa Santos

I adored Don’t Date Rosa Santos, a heartfelt contemporary debut from Nina Moreno. You can find my five-star review here.

~ books on my TBR ~

I’m almost sick of hearing about Red, White Royal Bluealmost. I’m still plenty excited for Casey McQuinston’s romantic comedy, which combines several of my interests: British royalty, US politics, and adorableness. This is probably the book I’m most excited to get my hands on this month.

Book cover: I Wish You All the Best

I’m also excited for I Wish You All the Best. I don’t know much about Mason Deaver’s debut, but I’m interested in the nonbinary rep. The they/them pronoun use in the synopsis piqued my interest–I don’t think I’ve seen that in a publisher summary before.

~ other books on my radar ~

I really liked From Twinkle, With Love, Sandhya Menon’s sophomore YA. I haven’t read her first book, so the sequel/companion isn’t on my TBR, but I’m keeping an eye on it. I’ll also be watching out for We Hunt the Flame. I don’t know that I’m up for it, but it might make it onto my TBR if I see some really great reviews.
