I didn’t have any discussion posts planned this month, but then I read that horrid interview with Kathleen Hale that BookPage published… and oops my hand slipped and I wrote a thousand words about what an irresponsible article that was.

What I’m Watching
I’m almost finished with my grand MCU rewatch with my littlest sibling. We’re seeing Endgame in theaters tomorrow. She hasn’t seen it yet–we were waiting until she had filled in the gaps of the movies she hadn’t seen yet. I’m so excited!
In other movies, I loved Toy Story 4 and Always Be My Maybe.
In television, I binged all of What/If on Netflix, which was… what??? It started out as bewildering in a good
What I’m Listening To
As always, my favorite listen is the NPR Pop Culture Happy Hour podcast, which gets a special shout-out this month because the host, Linda Holmes, debuted as a fiction author this month–yay!
I’ve been enjoying listening to Billie Eilish, Gregory Alan Isakov, and the just-released cast recording of the Oklahoma revival.
I’m halfway through the audiobook of Gingerbread, and the narration by author Helen Oyeyemi is just wonderful.
